The Southern Alpaca Group has been formed to cover the counties of Hampshire and the Isle of Wight, Wiltshire, Dorset, Surrey, Berkshire and West Sussex.
The Group is officially affiliated to the British Alpaca Society and will offer support and advice to members on all subjects relating to Alpacas, including training and welfare. Information and knowledge will be shared, guest speakers will be invited, and there will be opportunities for social gatherings.
Anyone interested in joining the Group should complete the Membership Application Form. We are also looking for people willing to host an event. If you would like to get more involved in this new initiative please contact the Secretary, Nikki Hayton, or the Chairman, Karen Oglesby.

On Monday the 14th of January 2008 we have organised a VETERINARY TALK TO BE PRESENTED BY GINA BROMAGE. Click here for details.
Later in the year, qualified UK “CAMELIDYNAMICS” practitioner—JULIE TAYLOR-BROWNE—will be holding a one or two-day clinic for us, depending on demand. This is on Saturday the 5th of April. “Camelidynamics”, a gentle training and handling system for camelids, was developed by Marty McGee from the methods used by Linda Tellington-Jones on horses, companion animals etc. Julie Taylor-Browne has trained with Marty for over three years. Use this form to book on the clinic. Also click here for more information about camelidynamics.
The Southern Alpaca Group has been formed to fill the gap in Central Southern England—we hope you will support it.
